Scholarships Change Everything

Talented students from underrepresented communities often have the passion and intellect to become great art historians or ethical, knowledgeable art dealers — but lack the financial means to pursue that path. Scholarships close that gap. They diversify the art world, bring new perspectives to the interpretation of cultural heritage, and ensure that the stewardship of humanity's creative legacy is not reserved for the privileged few.

The Prostate Cancer Crisis: A Call to Action

Prostate cancer is not a distant threat — it is the most urgent cancer challenge facing American men today. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosis among men in the U.S., accounting for 30% of male cancers in 2025, and is the second leading cause of cancer death in men behind lung cancer. The numbers are staggering: the American Cancer Society estimates there will be 313,780 new cases of prostate cancer and 35,770 deaths in 2025 alone. That is nearly one new diagnosis every two minutes, every single day of the year

The lifetime risk is personal and pervasive. Approximately 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. In the United States, an estimated 3,399,229 men were living with prostate cancer as of 2021 — fathers, brothers, sons, husbands, and friends whose lives and families are forever changed by this disease.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Through our immense loss and grief, people have continued to ask us how they can help keep Mood’s memory alive. We believe the best way to honor him, is to celebrate his life by promoting two causes that were integral in shaping him. As an art historian, dealer and consultant, Mood championed the importance of education and preserving the world’s beauty. Just as he supported his children and grandchildren in their educational pursuits, we know his memory will continue forward in newer, rising generations of artists and historians.

In his later life, Mood’s fearless and relentless warrior spirit was witnessed firsthand. Mood was always researching and advocating for innovative prostate cancer treatment and trying the newest medications. He was a believer and supporter in cancer research all around the world.

All funds raised through this website will be evenly split between art scholarships, with priority given to his alma maters, and prostate cancer research.
